Downloading and Running Antivirus Installers

Installing security software differs slightly across operating systems. Below are the basic guidelines for clean deployment:

For Windows PCs

  • Locate the downloaded .exe setup package in your system Downloads folder.
  • Right-click the setup package and choose "Run as administrator" to allow system modifications.
  • Follow the wizard guidelines. When prompted, select "Install standard protection". Do not choose custom directories unless necessary.

For macOS Computers

  • Open the downloaded .dmg disk image file.
  • Double-click the installer icon. When system Gatekeeper warnings prompt, choose "Open".
  • Open System Settings -> Privacy & Security and allow full disk accessibility and system extensions if prompted.
